Homemade Natural Face Wash


Natural face wash for dry skin


1. Honey and Curd

You need

  • 2 tsp curd
  • 1 tsp honey

How to use

  • Mix the curd and honey in a bowl.
  • Apply this to your face.
  • Gently massage it and keep it for 2-3 minutes.
  • Rinse your face with cool water.

Why? 

Honey and curd moisturise the skin and give a glow to the skin.

2. Honey and Egg

You need

  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 tsp honey

How to use

  • Mix the ingredients properly.
  • Apply to your face for about 10 minutes.
  • Massage it gently and wash your face with lukewarm water.

Why?

The egg adds a natural glow to your face and makes skin soft and smooth.

3. Cream and Apple

You need

  • 1 small boiled apple
  • 1 tsp cream
  • 4-5 drops of lemon juice

How to use

  • Mash the boiled apple and add the remaining ingredients.
  • Make a smooth paste and apply it to your face for 5 minutes.
  • Rinse your face with lukewarm water.

Why?

The cream will heal the dry skin and moisturise it well. Apple cleanses your skin and makes it soft.

4. Cream and Lemon

You need

  • 1 tsp cream
  • 1 tsp lemon juice

How to use

  • Mix both things.
  • Gently massage it on the face for 2 minutes.
  • Keep it on your face for another 2 minutes.
  • Wash it off with lukewarm water.

Why?

The cream helps to moisturise dry skin, and lemon will clear the dead skin cells.


Natural face wash for Oily Skin


5. Yogurt and Strawberry

You need

  • 2 fresh strawberries
  • 2 tsp yogurt

How to use

  • Blend both the ingredients and get a smooth paste.
  • Apply this gently on the face and neck for 5 minutes.
  • Rinse it with cool water.

Why? 

Thus, face wash will remove excess sebum or oil from your face. Yogurt helps to control the oil, and strawberry just clean your skin properly.

6. Milk and Honey

You need 

  • 1 tsp honey
  • 2 tsp raw milk

How to use

  • By mixing both the ingredients, you get a liquid.
  • Apply this liquid evenly to your face.
  • Keep it for 5 minutes and gently massage it all over your face.
  • Rinse this with lukewarm water.

Why? 

This cleanser brightens up your face and helps in controlling the oil as it has raw milk which is known for lactic acid.

7. Pineapple

You need

  • 2 tsp pineapple juice
  • 4-5 drops of lemon juice

How to use

  • In pineapple juice, add lemon juice and apply this on the face and neck.
  • Keep it for 5 minutes.
  • Rinse with cool water.

Why?

Pineapple has the qualities to control sebum production and make skin oil-free.

8. Fuller Earths and Turmeric

You need

  • 1 tsp fuller’s earth
  • a pinch of turmeric

How to use

  • Mix both the powders and add water to make a paste.
  • Apply it on your face and massage for 10 seconds.
  • Keep it for 2-3 minutes and rinse with plain water.

Why?

Fuller’s earth is known for its drying qualities, and turmeric will add an anti-bacterial property to it, which helps in reducing the amount of oil on the face.


Natural face wash for Combination Skin


9. Gram Flour

You need

  • 1 tsp gram flour
  • Curd or milk

How to use

  • Mix gram flour with milk or curd.
  • Gently massage your face with it.
  • Keep it for 10 minutes and rinse with normal water.

Why? 

Gram flour will soak up the excess oil and remove any dead skin cells. Milk and curd help to moisturise the skin.

10. Tomato

You need

  • 2 tsp tomato pulp
  • 1 tsp milk

How to use 

  • Mix them in a bowl and gently apply to your face.
  • Massage it with a soft hand.
  • Keep it for 10 minutes and rinse with cool water.

Why?

Tomato treats the T zone, which is more likely to be oily, and gives your skin a glow.

11. Milk and Chickpea

You need

  • 5-6 tsp of chickpea
  • 2 tsp milk

How to use

  • Mix the milk with chickpea flour and make a smooth paste.
  • Apply this on your face and keep it for 10 minutes.
  • Wash it off with normal water.

Why?

Milk and chickpea flour are the best for washing your face if you have combination skin.

12. Rice and Sandalwood

You need

  • 2 tsp rice flour
  • 1 tsp sandalwood powder

How to use:

  • Mix rice flour and sandalwood powder with milk or water.
  • Apply it to the face and neck.
  • Gently massage this for 2 minutes and leave it for another 2 minutes.
  • Wash it off with normal water.

Why?

Sandalwood powder is a good source to provide a cooling effect on the skin and make it clear. Rice flour helps to control the extra oil on the skin.

13. Honey and Lemon

You need

  • 1 tsp honey
  • ½ tsp lemon juice

How to use

  • Mix honey and lemon juice.
  • Apply it evenly on the face and leave it for 5 minutes.
  • Rub it gently and wash with cool water.

Why?

Honey moisturises the skin, and lemon minimises the pores, which control the oil.

14. Tomato and Cucumber

You need

  • ½ cucumber
  • 1 small tomato

How to use

  • Grind both things and make a paste.
  • Apply this paste on your face and leave it for 10 minutes.
  • Wash with normal water.

These two are perfect to wash your face with as they have super cleansing properties. Tomato clears the dirt and cucumber freshens up the face.

15. Fuller earths and Gram flour

You need

  • 1 tsp fuller’s earth
  • 1 tsp gram flour
  • Milk or water

How to use

  • Mix all the ingredients with milk or water and make a paste.
  • Apply this evenly on your face and neck.
  • Rub it gently and leave it for 2 minutes.
  • Wash with normal water.

Why?

Fuller’s earth and gram flour have been used for ages to cleanse the face and to remove any excess dirt and oil from the face.

16. Coffee and Rice

You need

  • 1 tsp coffee powder
  • 1 tsp rice flour

How to use

  • Mix all the powder ingredients and add rose water to it to make a smooth paste.
  • Apply this on your face and massage for 2-3 minutes.
  • Wash it off with normal water.

Why?

Rice flour will soak up all the oil, and coffee acts as a scrub. It will remove all the dead skin and make it clear and shiny too.

17. Honey and Sandalwood

You need

  • 1 tsp honey
  • ½ tsp sandalwood powder

  • Mix honey and sandalwood powder.
  • Gently massage this on your wet face.
  • Leave it for 5 minutes and wash with normal water.

Honey moisturises the skin and treats acne and pimples. Sandalwood provides coolness and soothes rashes.

18. Wheat flour and Gram flour

You need

  • 1 tsp wheat flour
  • 1 tsp gram flour

How to use

  • Mix wheat flour and gram flour with milk or water, or rose water.
  • Massage this mixture on your face and neck for 2 minutes.
  • Keep it on for 5 minutes and wash with normal water.

Why?

Wheat flour and gram flour act as the best cleansers. It cleanses all the dirt and provides a balanced look for all skin types.
